Are you curious about how underutilized property can be transformed into much-needed low-income housing? This introductory workshop will provide a clear, practical overview of the entire process, from initial concept to successful completion. We'll begin to demystify the complexities of legislation and red tape, sharing foundational strategies to navigate common challenges. You'll get an understanding of what's generally involved, how to begin thinking about streamlining your efforts, and hear inspiring success stories directly from the Oakland Peace Center and local churches who have successfully developed affordable housing solutions. This is your first step towards making a tangible difference in our community's housing needs.
