Important information

Bring your water bottle as FCC Concord is working on becoming a Green Chalice church. They are NOT providing bottled water this year and instead will have water and lemonade dispensers at the coffee bar.

The program guide is electronic only. If you did not receive a copy in your email, you can access it by tapping here.

Pre-Assembly Event begins on April 19 with lunch, and Dr. Angelique Jordan Byrd, Director of Communications for the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), will be our presenter. She is the author of The Phygital Church: Using Social Ministry to Make Disciples and will help us explore the new realities of a pandemic-informed church reality.

Friday evening will include an All-Assembly Dinner and Opening Worship Service with the Rev. Dr. Kelly Colwell, Co-Senior Minister of First Congregational Church, Berkeley, as our keynoter. She earned a Ph.D. in practical theology from Graduate Theological Union, with a dissertation on the church during the pandemic. At First Congregational Church, she supports several of the ministry teams, oversees online activities and communications, and invites the church into deeper work on mental health, disability, race, gender, sexuality, and other axes of difference, in addition to preaching and pastoral care. Kelly's primary spiritual gifts are fearlessness, hospitality, and joy.

On Saturday, April 20, we will engage in Worshipful Work in the morning and Workshops after lunch (Each workshop provides 1.5 Continuing Education Units eligible for ministerial standing requirements). We will gather together again for our closing worship with Dr. Colwell.
