Reverend Vickie M. Firch has been a leader in congregational, Regional and General ministries of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) for more than forty six years. She is a fourth generation Disciple, who was born and raised in the farming community of Selma, California. Vickie has been married for forty three years to the Reverend Ted Firch. Vickie and Ted have two children. Their daughter is Bethany Firch Weinberg who is a graduate of Chapman University/ San Jose University and is a librarian in Fullerton, CA. Their son Barton W. Firch is a graduate of Sacramento State University. He is a Wellness Project Director for Xilinx and has his own Wellness business that includes private coaching, training, and yoga. Along with ministry, Vickie enjoys kayaking and working in her art studio.

• Senior Minister in the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) congregations in Alabama, PSW and CCNCN regions in California .
• Associate Regional Minister in the Pacific Southwest Region of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ)
• Service Coordinator for the Christian Church Homes of Northern California (Affordable Housing – HUD) and Director of Resident Services for Eskaton Senior Housing.
• Adjunct New Testament Professor at Chapman University (Lemoore Naval Campus)
• Deputy Public Administrator, Public Conservator for Sacramento County
• California Superior Court Probate Investigator

Vickie is the author of four student/teacher books on stewardship and outreach – Food for Thought and Soul, commissioned and published in 2001, by General Finance Council, Indianapolis. She is also the author of several Bible studies, curriculum courses, and dramas. She served six years on the General Youth Council from 1988-1994.

Vickie has been an invited speaker across the United States and Puerto Rico on various subjects including religion, diversity, reconciliation, elder and diaconate training, communication, consensus building, health and wellness. She has coordinated and participated in Home Missions in Alabama, North Carolina, Puerto Rico, the PSW and CCNC-N Regions.
